LongView Glass

Longview Glass/Harrison County Glass provide commercial and residential glass installation and service for northeast Texas. The commercial division works with local and national general contractors, as well as architects, to provide glass storefronts, window walls, slope walls, curtain walls, heavy glass systems, skylight systems, bullet resistant and custom glass needs, for construction projects of all sizes. The residential division works with area home builders, architects, interior designers, and home owners, to provide a variety of glass installation needs such as a wide range of custom and decorative glass, beveled mirrors, table tops, shower units, shelves, cabinets, patio doors, plate glass and insulated windows.
Today, Longview Glass continues to expand their customer base size and territory by pursuing and completing large commercial and residential projects. They continue to be a leader in the glass industry by continually updating their product lines and being innovative in the use of those products. Scott, Bruce and Robert regularly attend industry trade shows and visit supplier and manufacturing plants to stay abreast of current construction and design trends.

1952 - | Harrison Forbes and Ray Lawson opened Mar-Tex Glass in Marshall |
1961 - | Longview Glass and Mar-Tex Glass formed a corporation. Bud Beeson joined as a partner. |
1977 - | The companies had quadrupled in size and were installing glass as far away as Memphis, El Paso and Mobile, as well as East Texas |
1985 - | Harrison assumed sole ownership of Longview Glass; Ray Lawson assumed sole ownership of Mar-Tex Glass; other partners Meier and Beeson retire |
1987 - | Scott Forbes joined as Vice President of Longview Glass |
1991 - | Bruce Forbes joined as President of Longview Glass |
2003 - | Opened Harrison County Glass in Marshall and hired Ray Lawson to manage |
2008 - | Acquired the assets of Mar-Tex Glass and merged into the Harrison County Glass operation |
2010 - | Longview Glass sales revenue increase fifteen-fold with continuous expansion of customer base size and territory |
